Nebraska is one of the Great Plains states, located between South Dakota, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, and Wyoming. Nebraska is often called the Cornhusker State, and it’s primarily known for agriculture. Nebraska has a very few large cities; it’s mostly a state of small towns, with many having a population of less than a thousand people. The capital of Nebraska is Lincoln (pop. 241,167) but the largest city is actually Omaha (pop. 427,872). Omaha is home of the University of Nebraska Medical Center, first established in 1880.
